It's All in the Details

 Yesterday I had to run an errand at City Hall (it's a long story - don't ask.....) and after I was done with my business, I stopped to take a few shots of the lobby and of the great details of the building.  Here's my tour of  the City of Oakland City Hall which was built in 1914....























Outside on Frank Ogawa Plaza is the mighty Oak Tree which was planted in 1917 and which was officially dedicated to Jack London.  I love this tree ..it's where my sister and I hunted for Easter Eggs during the late 50's.

I have re-dedicated this tree it to my Becerra Family - all Oaklanders...

Here's to you Ma, Nana, Tio, Papa Cheyo and Mama Toni....

    Wow, the detail in that building is breath taking. I love looking at the detail in old buildings. It almost seems like the spent more time focusing on more of the details back then.

    Oh yeah, that tree is amazing, I just want to hug it.
